Adaptive Flight Control in the Presence of Limits on Magnitude and Rate

Input constraints as well parametric uncertainties must be accounted for in the design of safe control systems. This paper presents an adaptive controller multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) plants with input magnitude and rate saturation presence uncertainties. A filter is introduced path to accommodate limits. An output feedback designed stabilize closed loop system even this filter. The overall architecture includes laws that are modified account Analytical guarantees stable adaptation, bounded trajectories, satisfactory tracking provided. Three flight simulations nonlinear models aircraft dynamics provided demonstrate efficacy proposed open unstable systems saturation.
